It is exactly what you describe it to be: a Commonwealth of the Bahamas 10 Cent coin. The fish on the back (reverse) is the Bone Fish; the monach on the front (obverse) is Queen Elizabeth II. They were minted in copper-nickel, and have a scalloped edge.

The 1966 was the first year of issue, and had a relatively high mintage of 2.2 million. Its value is nominal; perhaps .25 at retail for an as-new, uncirculated coin; coins similar to these typically sell for a few cents each on eBay as part of mixed lots of world coins.

HI I have some Bahama Islands coins, but have no info on them and would like to find out how much they are worth. They came in a set of 9 coins that i got at a garage sale maybe 6 years ago, and since them I have lost two of the coins so now the set contains only 7.
The coins have Queen Elizabeth II on them.

They are all in pretty good shape, but the case is somewhat dirty and is missing two coins and in the box it says “Royal Mint” with a little symbol.

Does anybody have any information on these coins and know the value?

it may be a specimen set or a proof set
see Krause Catalogue for values
since the set is incomplete sell individually on e-bay
do not clean or polish the coins

Hi Kobeluna…,
Paradise Island or also called Cayo Arena, is a large sand bank not far away from the coast of Punta Rucia. This is a beautiful spot for scuba diving and of course for snorkeling!!
This a excursion of a complete day starting from Puerto Plata.
You have two options for booking : A. The cheap one 65 us/pp (including 3 hours bus, then a boat to the island). B. The VIP option :95 us pp ( 1 hour bus and then a boat direct to the Island). It’s called in Spanish “Isla Paraiso”. Good advise : Don’t do the excursion just after a rain day, do it the after, you’re will be seeing more under water.

This is regarding Anna Nicole baby Dannielynn. Cable news channel reported last night that baby is only about 10 pounds and only drinks formula and sleeps 16 hours a day. Baby should be double that weight and should be eating baby cereal by now and number one jars of baby food and sleeping way too much. Could be sick from drugs mommy did while pregnant. Folks can email and urge bahimian government to place baby in protective custody until dna test done. After all, the baby is with mr. Stearn who allowed pregnant mommy to do drugs and videotaped it and joked about it. He would not care enough to take care of her properly and she could be very ill.
