World coins of low denominations usually have little value in countries other than the one that minted it. We collect 10 cent coins here in the U.S. but say Europeans are not likely too. People that collect fish coins or sea creatures would buy your coin as well as one coin from every country collectors. It can be found in most dealers world coin box for .10 to .25 cents. You do have the start of either type of coin collecting as I mentioned above. Coin collecting need not be expensive but can be a fun and learning experience.

The wedding coordinator at Sandals will tell you what to bring and they usually take you to where you need to be. They are very good about assisting with weddings. They take care of the paperwork for The Bahamas. Make sure you work with them and don't try to figure it all out on your own. If you are a US citizen the marriage will have to be registered at the US Embassy there.

You both have to be in the Bahamas for at least 24 hours before you show up at the registrars office. . (they are only opened for limited hours on a weekday, offices close early on friday and not opened on weekends.)

BOTH you and your fiancee have to be present.
If you are divorces, you'll need your original divorce papers.

Please contact the Sandals wedding coordinator for details.

You have a mint set from the Bahama Islands, it had a mintage of 75,050 and at the time sold for $16. Today book value is $20. Since not all the coins are there it has no value as a mint set. The 1 dollar coin is .800 silver with .4666 oz actual silver weight and the $2 (.8863 oz actual silver weight) & $5 (1.2527 oz of actual silver weight)dollar coins are ,925 silver, The value of those coins depends on the price of silver at the time of sale. By the looks of things it is best to sell the top 3 coins and toss the rest. It is not uncommon for mint sets to actually sell for less than if one sells the larger denominations separately. Hope this helps.

John, I am confused about your most recent blog post and I wonder if you could clarify something? You claimed the Carnival destiny had issues back in 1996. Yet i remember earlier this year w/ Cruise critic being filled w/complaints about the ship. And when I Google "Carnival Destiny" there are page after page of complaints about this ship. Carnival issued a press release this year saying the ship had "propulsion issues". John, why does Google VASTLY contradict what you posted?
